I Don’t Know What the Hell I’m Doing — But I Know I’m Supposed to Keep Going
I feel like I disappeared for a while.
Not literally.
But after a pretty massive period of personal awakening and healing, my life got quieter.
I reconnected with someone from my past, and long before it became a relationship, it became a safe place to talk, unpack, grieve, reflect, and share what we were both moving through.
A friendship formed first.
Healing became part of the foundation.
And somewhere along the way, that friendship became love.
For a while, my energy shifted away from sharing publicly and into living privately.
Relationship.
Travel.
Healing.
Learning what safety could actually feel like.
But I wasn’t standing still.
I was creating.
Quietly, behind the scenes, I’ve been working on some pretty big passion projects — learning as I go, following ideas, building things that matter to me, and figuring out what they want to become.
Living Me Authentically is one of them.
And now something feels different.
It isn’t that the ideas are finally arriving.
They’ve been here.
I’ve been doing the work.
Now it feels like it’s time to start letting some of it be seen.
Which means, in a way, I’m learning how to be seen again too.
And that is where I find myself now.
Not wondering whether I can create something.
I know I can.
I’m wondering what happens when I let people see it.
What am I actually bringing to the table?
How do I share it?
What do I share?
How much do I share?
Am I qualified enough?
Am I a fraud?
Those questions still show up.
But underneath all of them, there is something that feels stronger.
A knowing.
I can visualize the life I’m building.
I can see what it looks like when these passion projects are fully alive.
And maybe more importantly, I’m starting to trust my ability to get them there.
That feels big for me.
Because dedication to myself has not always been where I’ve placed my energy.
I can see that in a lot of areas of my life.
But this chapter is showing me something different.
I can finish big things.
I can do hard things.
I can learn new things.
I can figure shit out.
I can take an idea and keep moving with it until it becomes something real.
And I don’t need to know every step before I begin.
My partner once asked me:
“How do you eat an elephant?”
I looked at him like he had grown two heads.
“What?”
“One bite at a time.”
And as ridiculous as I thought it sounded in the moment, he was right.
That is exactly how this has been unfolding.
One page.
One design.
One decision.
One thing I didn’t know how to do yesterday that I know a little more about today.
Then another.
And another.
The next step keeps opening up.
I used to think confidence came from knowing what you were doing.
Now I think there is another kind of confidence.
The kind that says:
I don’t know yet. But I’ll figure it out.
That feels much more honest.
Because I am still learning.
Still growing.
Still figuring out how to move from understanding myself intellectually to actually living what I know.
Still learning how to pause.
How to move my body.
How to change habits.
How to create safety within myself.
How to receive.
How to trust what is good.
How to be human without turning every wobble into proof that I’m failing.
I am not perfectly healed.
I am not perfectly disciplined.
I am not perfectly regulated.
I am still emotional.
Still triggered sometimes.
Still carrying habits I know I want to change.
Still human.
And maybe that is exactly why Living Me Authentically means so much to me.
Because living authentically was never supposed to mean having everything figured out.
It means being honest about where you are.
It means noticing when something no longer fits.
It means choosing differently when you can.
It means letting yourself evolve without pretending you have arrived.
And it means continuing even when the road ahead is not completely clear.
So this is where I’m at.
I’ve been creating behind the scenes for a long time.
Now I’m starting to let some of it be seen.
I’m learning every step of the way.
And I still don’t know exactly where all of this is going.
But I know I’m supposed to keep going.
One bite at a time.
